NHA’s Nutrition Services Program celebrated the ribbon cutting of Phase II of the NHA Central Kitchen on October 30, 2017. San Diego County Supervisors Roberts, Cox, and Gaspar, NHA Board Members, friends, and supporters came to celebrate the occasion. The event began with a short program, followed by a self-guided tour of the Central Kitchen and samples of the fresh, made-from-scratch meals that the Nutrition Services Program serves each day. The NHA Central Kitchen Ribbon Cutting also included the unveiling of the Nutrition Services Training Facility, a space that will be used to provide nutrition education and cooking classes to groups and families.
NHA is grateful to all of the organizations and individuals that made Phase II of the NHA Central Kitchen a reality, and we are looking forward continuing to serve children and families out of this new facility.
