Kenneth Mazo, Jr.

As a long-time resident of the San Diego area, Kenneth Mazo, Jr. is keenly aware of the positive impact that the Neighborhood House Association has on the local community.  He has dedicated his professional life to helping families and individuals overcome the difficulties they face on a daily basis.  In his current role as Chief Financial Officer/General Manager, he looks forward to creating meaningful change that will be felt for generations to come.

Kenneth has over 17 years of experience working with numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout the US and internationally.   He started his career in accounting in 2004 and has since held leadership positions with companies including Intuit Inc. and CohnReznick LLP. While at CohnReznick, he performed financial, and compliance audits for large San Diego non-profit organizations such as Neighborhood House Association, San Diego Zoo, Girl Scouts, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, San Diego Chamber of Commerce, and the YMCA.

Kenneth’s financial acumen and deep understanding of financial principles have allowed him to succeed in several business endeavors. Additionally, he is known for analyzing situations down to the smallest detail, allowing him to see innovative, creative solutions to problems.  This professionalism has earned him the respect of his peers in every organization he has been a part of.

In addition to his professional experience, Kenneth is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  During his service, he developed an unwavering sense of discipline, persistence, and integrity, traits that continue to define his career.  Whatever his task, Kenneth’s commitment to open communication and hard work allows him to consistently overcome obstacles and improve the lives of others around him.  Working in the non-profit sector enables Kenneth to put his diverse skill set to use for the greater good.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California State University San Marcos and an Associate Degree in Accounting from Mira Costa College.  He is a devoted father and loving husband and enjoys spending his free time making memories with his family.
