Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Nu Upsilon chapter rolls up their sleeves to Spruce up Neighborhood House Association’s Center
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Nu Upsilon undergraduate chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., current and former chapter members hosted a full weekend celebrating sisterhood and academic excellence. On Saturday, October 13, sorority members volunteered, in the rain, laying sod grass and planting shrubs and flowers at the Neighborhood House Association’s (NHA) 41st street location, the former NHA headquarters.
Over 75 sorority members from throughout the country-and as far as Washington D.C. and Florida-participated in the event. The sorority members chose to volunteer at NHA for the community service portion of their weekend because they were impressed by the many exceptional services the agency provides throughout San Diego County.
