Meet Donna Rose, our BIH mental health professional who still basks in victory from her claim to fame as a winner of The Price is Right!
An East Coast native, Donna came to San Diego in 1962 with her husband who was active-duty military. They loved the area so much that they decided to stay and raise their two children. Donna began her career with the County of San Diego, Health and Human Services Dept. She then retired after 30 years of service and subsequently began realizing her dreams to travel the world and finish college. She returned to college and earned her MA in Marriage and Family Counseling. In May 2023, she joined the staff at Black Infant Health as a Mental Health Professional. She loves “pouring into” young women who are dealing with parenting and relationship issues, and provides grief counseling. She is also a Grief Counselor at her church.
Donna loves outdoor concerts, beach days, reading books, cruises, water aerobics and bingo! She finds the most joy in church activities and socializing with close friends and family. So far, she has visited five of the seven continents. She also has five grandchildren. We don’t know how Donna does it all, but we know we’re happy to have her here with us at BIH, sharing her experiences and wealth of knowledge!
