Neighborhood House Association joined Celebrando, the largest Latina women’s conference in Spanish, on June 2, 2012 from 8a.m. to 4p.m. for a day of inspiring workshops and pampering. Celebrando is an empowering one-day annual conference directed towards Latinas based on relevant topics such as career development, health and beauty.
This year’s presenters included Fanny Miller, director of El Latino, Ricardo Berron, host of Despierta San Diego among others. Although the conference was held in Spanish, English translation was available during morning and afternoon keynote speaker presentations and lunch. Exclusive seminars for teens between the ages of 13 and 18 were also 
available.
NHA clients qualified for special ticket discounts and attended workshops accompanied by Alethea Arguilez, director of child, youth and family services for Head Start. Additionally, over 100 centerpieces and 10 pieces of Head Start artwork adorned the conference lunch attended by over 1,000 conference participants.
